Spray-dried microspherical γ-alumina catalyst carriers

Spray-dried microspherical γ-alumina catalyst carrier

Compared to other form(e.g., Powders, Granules)or different crystal form(such as α-Al₂O₃) alumina-based catalyst carriers, it has unique structure and performance advantages.

2. Chemical & Catalytic Advantages

1)High Surface Reactivity:
γ-Al₂O₃ microspheres feature abundant surface hydroxyl (-OH) groups and acidic sites, ideal for anchoring metal active phases (e.g., Pt, Ni), outperforming inert α-Al₂O₃ in catalytic reactions (e.g.,hydrogenation,cracking).

2)Thermal Stability:
Retains structural stability at 500–800°C (gradually transforms to α-Al₂O₃ at higher temperatures), superior to amorphous Al₂O₃.

3)Adsorption Capacity:
Mesoporous structure (2–50 nm) facilitates diffusion of large molecules (e.g., VOCs, petroleum fractions), outperforming microporous activated alumina.
